“The sea mirrors the rising moon bright; miles apart, our hearts share tonight.” On the occasion of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, in a bid to promote traditional Chinese culture and strengthen contact and friendship with representatives of the overseas Chinese community in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the United Front Work Department of Boxing County Party Committee and Jinxiu Community University for the Aged, launched a fellowship activity for overseas Chinese in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan named “Appreciate the Mid-Autumn Festival Moon Together · Express the National Emotions Jointly”. In Boxing County, more than 20 people, including compatriots from Taiwan and Hong Kong, returned overseas Chinese and their family members, gathered together to express their friendship and fellowship, and convey their emotions for hometown and motherland.
At the event site, representatives visited Jinxiu Community, Bochang Street, Boxing County, listened to the report from the Party Committee Secretary of the community, and gained a detailed understanding of the “116N” work ideas, “12345” hotline handling, “2135” work mechanism, and the implementation of the Love Water Station.
At the cultural performance area, the volunteer service team of the university for the aged brought wonderful programs, such as dances and songs to everyone. The programs Hello Motherland and Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China were staged in turn. Performers expressed their love for their hometown and motherland with songs and dances, and conveyed their firm belief in always following the Party. The wonderful performance won rounds of applause from everyone.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a day for family reunion, but also an essential part of traditional Chinese culture, which carries the values of reunion, harmony and gratitude cherished by the Chinese nation. This event provides a platform for representatives from the overseas Chinese community in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to learn about their hometown and share their fellowship together, allowing everyone to feel the warmth of family reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival. We will, as always, adopt “family culture” to build consensus on integrated development, expand space for exchanges and cooperation, optimize service and guarantee quality and efficiency.
